I am a qualified social work practitioner, with a Masters in Social Work degree acquired from the University of Tasmania. Being a social work practitioner means that I have a series of responsibilities to uphold, one of which is to follow a Code of Ethics. The Code of Ethics is in place to protect you as a client and to also protect me as a practitioner.
WORKING RELATIONSHIP: The services that I provide as part of Finding Your Best You are based on partnership, where I work with you to develop your awareness, thinking and abilities in order for me to help you identify and achieve your personal and professional goals. Our working relationship will be direct and honest and success will be determined by our willingness to be open and honest with one another and committed do the process.
MY COMMITMENTS TO YOU AND THE SERVICE:
- I will be respectful and hold you in positive regard.
- I will be on time, well prepared and punctual.
- I will not judge you, your beliefs or ideas.
- I will not tell you what to do or how you should achieve your goal.
- I will challenge you when needed.
- I will not provide therapy or counselling services.
- All personal information will be confidential unless you indicate that you wish to harm yourself or children. It is my responsibility under the Code of Ethics to report your case to the relevant authorities.
AGREEMENT:
By engaging in and utilising any services from Finding Your Best You you enter into an agreement in which you are responsible for creating your own results, following a program and completing tasks and activities that have been agreed upon.
CONFIDENTIALITY: All information provided to Finding Your Best You will remain private and confidential. In some instances release of information may be necessary but this can only be required by written permission, court order or legal subpoena. In addition to this, there are some instances in which I have a legal obligation to breach my confidentiality. These situations relate to the intention to commit a crime, self-harm or harm to others or child abuse. These instances are rare, however, I will make every effort to discuss this with you.
GUARANTEE: You are responsible for achieving your own results. This means that your 100% participation and commitment to the process is required. I am committed to doing everything that I can to help you achieve your results. If you are not satisfied with the service, I encourage you to contact me as soon as possible. If you can show me that no progress has been made despite all attempts to engage in the process, a full refund will be given.
SERVICE FEE POLICY: All sessions, packages and online programs must be paid for prior to commencement of the service. Payment options include Paypal and Credit Card. Once payment has been made and the Service Agreement is signed, it is deemed that you have read and agreed to all of the terms listed in the service agreement.
APPOINTMENTS: All appointments are to be booked via email. It is encouraged that you book your sessions ahead of time to ensure that you are accommodated with the preferred time. Unfortunately session times are unable to be held. In the event that I am unable to attend the session due to illness, your session will be rescheduled. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment please allow 24 hours before the appointment time to avoid a penalty.
APPOINTMENT PENALTY:
If you need to reschedule your appointment, please contact me via email with 24 hours notice. If notification has not been received within 24 hours, the session will be considered completed as part of the package purchased and a refund will not be given.
If you are more than 20 minutes late to your session then the session will be considered complete as part of the package purchased and a refund will not be given.
